Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bai Run (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Samos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Run comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samos shoots for a takedown but Run saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Samos slips a jab and a cross from Run.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Samos.
Samos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Run to score with a decent uppercut.
Run throws a head kick but Samos moves out of range.
Run leaves Samos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bai Run has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Samos.
Run wants to clinch.

Run seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Samos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Run trying to mount his opponent but Samos defends it.

Run wants to stand but Samos has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are battling for position here. Samos manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Samos is looking for a triangle but Run pushes his legs off easily.

No joy there for Run, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Samos shoots in and drives through. Run sprawls well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Samos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Run feints and as Samos raises his hands in defense, Run changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Samos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Run keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Samos's head.
Samos looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Run puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bai Run will probably get the nod.

Samos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Run defends it easily.

Run is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Samos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
