Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the cage accompanied by BoNKerS. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rashad Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Cooper! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Cooper. Evans tries to bench press Cooper off him but Cooper keeps the position. Evans keeping his opponent close. Evans wants to control but Cooper postures up. Evans pushes Cooper away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cooper gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Evans bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Evans with a lazy takedown attempt and Cooper counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Evans showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cooper.
Evans misses with a takedown and Cooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cooper. Evans tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cooper counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A head kick misses from Cooper.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Evans shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cooper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rashad Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him. Evans with a poor takedown and Cooper counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Evans is breathing heavily. Cooper wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cooper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cooper tries to score a body lock takedown but Evans shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Evans is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cooper can't fight it off and eventually Evans manages to take the fight to the floor. Cooper looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cooper pushes Evans off and scrambles back to his feet.
Evans gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cooper moves into the clinch. Evans fails to pull guard.
Cooper wants the takedown. Evans is fighting it off but Cooper persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Evans's guard against the cage. Evans tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans wants to stand but Cooper is controlling the position. Cooper postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Evans lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cooper! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Evans connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Sam Cooper has been cut. Evans tries to control but Cooper wriggling away. Evans postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cooper looks a forlorn figure.
Cooper is rocked! Evans dominating with strikes here. Cooper is still in real trouble! Can Evans finish him? Evans scoring with strikes but Cooper is staying in there.
That has opened up Sam Cooper's cut even more. Evans in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Evans!
