Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lei Quan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus Fritzel! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fritzel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fritzel has Quan up against the ropes in a clinch.
Quan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fritzel gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fritzel has had enough of the clinch but Quan keeps him there for the moment. Quan with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Fritzel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Quan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Fritzel blocks it with crossed arms. Quan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Fritzel avoids it. Fritzel is pressed up against the ropes. Quan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fritzel down to the mat. Fritzel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Quan tries to clinch there but Fritzel circles away.
Quan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fritzel can do anything to dispel that myth. Quan is trying to control the action in half guard but Fritzel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Quan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fritzel wants to get back to his feet.
Fritzel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Quan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fritzel trying to control from the bottom.
Fritzel is trying to get back to full guard. Fritzel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Quan is working away from the top position though. Quan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Quan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fritzel throws a series of punches but Quan avoids them all with ease. Quan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fritzel is fending him off so far but Quan persists. Nope, Fritzel circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lei Quan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Quan tries to clinch but Fritzel moves away and Quan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Lei Quan has been cut. Fritzel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Quan closes the distance and clinches up with Fritzel, looking for a takedown. Quan pushes Fritzel against the ropes but Fritzel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marcus Fritzel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quan is breathing heavily. Fritzel closes the distance and pushes Quan back into the ropes. Quan tries a knee to the head but Fritzel blocks it.

Marcus Fritzel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fritzel lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Fritzel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lei Quan's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Quan darts in trying to clinch and Fritzel counters with a crisp one two that drops Quan! Fritzel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Quan to his feet! Quan is in big trouble!
Quan is rocked! Quan ducks into an uppercut from Fritzel and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
