Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Kuznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jenever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuznetsov comes to the cage accompanied by National Anthem of Russia. Alexei Kuznetsov had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexei Kuznetsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Jenever! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenever shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jenever steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kuznetsov misses with a straight right. Jenever shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kuznetsov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jenever is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kuznetsov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kuznetsov wants to get back to his feet but Jenever drags him back down. Jenever scores with punches from side control. Jenever throws a strike aimed at the side of Kuznetsov's head but Kuznetsov avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenever misses with the ground and pound. Kuznetsov wants to get back to his feet. Jenever wants to control but Kuznetsov is keeping him busy. Jenever working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jenever in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kuznetsov parries the strikes from Jenever easily there. Jenever is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kuznetsov to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jenever slips a straight right by Kuznetsov. Jenever pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kuznetsov is out of range and Jenever settles back down. Jenever fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kuznetsov avoids it really well and circles away. Kuznetsov thows a left - swing and a miss! Kuznetsov misses with an uppercut. Jenever saw that one coming. Kuznetsov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jenever displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kuznetsov throws out the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenever connects with a right hand. Kuznetsov shakes it off. Kuznetsov misses with an uppercut. Kuznetsov thuds his right hand into Jenever's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Tom Jenever has been cut. Jenever moves out of range of the strikes. A right-left combo lands from Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov throws a series of punches but Jenever moves out of range. Jenever staying out of range there. Kuznetsov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jenever. Kuznetsov misses with a double jab.
Jenever scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jenever in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kuznetsov wants to get back to his feet. Jenever has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kuznetsov seems a little lost for a moment, as Jenever dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Jenever seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Jenever working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Jenever tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jenever has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kuznetsov regains half guard, as Jenever was trying to land strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Jenever dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tom Jenever's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Jenever tries to move into range but Kuznetsov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kuznetsov throws a shot from downtown. Jenever moves away and avoids it. Jenever keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuznetsov. Jenever takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Kuznetsov closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Jenever! Kuznetsov dives in looking to finish! Jenever is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexei Kuznetsov!
