Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pacman Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenzo Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacman Barnes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Pacman Barnes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenzo Nakata! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nakata uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barnes.
Barnes scores with a spinning back kick! Barnes throws a hook but Nakata blocks it. Barnes throws a lazy right hand but Nakata sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Barnes swings for the body but Nakata moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes scores with the left hand. Nakata knows he should have avoided that one. Barnes misses with a low kick. Barnes moves out of range as Nakata strikes. Pacman Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakata uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Barnes. Barnes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nakata doesn't seem bothered though. Barnes jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Nakata counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barnes thinking. Barnes connects with a crisp jab. Barnes looks to land a combination but Nakata avoids it well. Barnes throws a leg kick but Nakata checks it. A shot to the body from Barnes misses and Nakata counters with a left and a right that stings Barnes. Barnes attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nakata moves away.

and Barnes counters with a lovely straight right hand! Barnes throws a leg kick that is checked and Nakata makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Barnes pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Barnes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nakata. Barnes looks to land a combination. Nakata sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Barnes with a body punch. A glancing blow. Barnes lands a jab to Nakata's midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Barnes misses the target. Barnes catches Nakata with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nakata manages to avoid it. Nakata moves forwards but Barnes connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nakata ducks under a wild hook from Barnes. Barnes is looking to chop away at Nakata's legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Barnes counters with a two punch combo. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nakata avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Barnes misses with a wild body shot. A big right from Barnes misses. Nakata misses with a shot to the body enabling Barnes to counter with a crisp jab. A clash of legs there as Nakata blocks the low kick.

Barnes looks to land a left hand but Nakata moved out of range nicely. Barnes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nakata misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barnes.

Pacman Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nakata changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barnes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barnes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Nakata misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Nakata trying to control the action but Barnes is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakata throws an elbow but Barnes slips to the side and avoids it well. Nakata fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Nakata swings around for an armbar but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nakata's guard. Barnes throwing strikes but missing. Nakata has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Barnes wanted to stand there but Nakata had control of the position. Nakata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barnes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barnes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nakata looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nakata is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barnes works over Nakata with some ground and pound from guard. Nakata had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barnes defends it easily. Nakata looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Barnes passes into side control.
Barnes tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Barnes throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Barnes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakata keeps working. Nakata is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnes working the ground and pound but Nakata is defending the strikes. Nakata tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barnes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Barnes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nakata to his feet. Nakata swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Barnes counter with a right hand. Barnes misses the jab. Barnes punishes Nakata's body with a nice straight punch. Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pacman Barnes dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Nakata misses with a shot to the body and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Barnes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nakata momentarily.

and Nakata counters with a nice body shot. Nakata misses the body punch and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Barnes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Barnes lands a glancing blow to the side of Nakata's head. Barnes throws out a powerful jab. Nakata misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barnes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barnes, as that shot connected.
Nakata is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Barnes rather than just go for the knockout. Nakata throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nakata. Pacman Barnes is winning the standup battle so far. Barnes tries to land a front kick but Nakata steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Barnes is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Nakata throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Barnes counters with a straight right hand. Nakata uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barnes.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Nakata missing with a left hand there. Barnes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nakata shoots in and bounces Barnes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Barnes wants to stand and escape but Nakata is having none of it. Nakata loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nakata preventing the sweep. Nakata with a flurry of punches that miss. Barnes pushes Nakata off and gets back to his feet.
Kenzo Nakata has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnes slips under a jab. Nakata moves out of range of the leg kick from Barnes. Barnes lands a slapping body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! Pacman Barnes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barnes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
