7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vincent! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vincent.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Vincent has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Vincent's head. Jones misses with a hook. Vincent ducked under it nicely. No luck for Vincent with that takedown attempt. Vincent lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Vincent is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vincent wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vincent. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vincent holds on and takes a little breather. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Michael Vincent is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
