Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dease Nutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nutz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is lil wayne- cannon instrumental. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dease Nutz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Johnson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to clinch but Nutz is having none of it. Nutz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson. Dease Nutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nutz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Nutz avoiding damage as Johnson throws knees to the body.
Nutz throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Nutz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nutz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nutz's guard. Johnson wants to stand but Nutz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Johnson gets to his feet - Nutz follows without any prompting. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nutz throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson throws a head kick but Nutz moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nutz tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson trying to control but Nutz is working from the bottom. Johnson looks gassed! Nutz pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage. Nutz working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nutz wriggles free and stands up. Johnson avoids the head kick by Nutz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nutz tries to clinch but Johnson moves away and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nutz! Nutz is trying to escape the mount.
Johnson lands a big elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson wants to control the pace but Nutz is squirming around nicely. Nutz is trying desperately to improve position. Nutz wants to control but Johnson is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson unloads with some shots from mount but Nutz bucks and avoids them well.
Nutz tries to hold on but Johnson postures up. Nutz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Johnson thowing shots but they're missing. Johnson avoids the attempt from Nutz to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nutz blocking the ground and pound. Nutz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Johnson punching from mount but Nutz doing a good job of avoiding damage. Nutz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Nutz trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Johnson dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nutz clinches but Johnson breaks the clinch and Johnson counters with a right hand to the body. Johnson is looking to clinch but Nutz is avoiding it.
Johnson dodges the punch combination from Nutz.
Nutz lands a head kick. Johnson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Nutz misses with a takedown attempt and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Nutz didn't expect that. Johnson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Nutz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Johnson is breathing heavily. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nutz is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nutz wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nutz stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Nutz tries to stand but Johnson is controlling from the bottom. Johnson wants to sweep here but Nutz controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nutz trying to stand up but can't free himself from Johnson's guard. Nutz passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nutz prevents Johnson from improving his position. Nutz wants to get back to his feet.
Jake Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Nutz passes to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nutz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Johnson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Nutz. Nutz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Johnson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Johnson is looking to regain half guard here but Nutz keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nutz swings around for an armbar but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nutz's guard. Nutz keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson is fighting to break Nutz's control of his arms but Nutz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Nutz working a defensive guard here.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dease Nutz will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Johnson has Nutz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nutz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nutz fails to pull guard.
Nutz lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Johnson. Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson throws a lazy head kick and Nutz counters by moving into the clinch. Nutz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Nutz wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dease Nutz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson trying to land knees to the body.
Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Nutz lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Nutz is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Johnson is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nutz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nutz throws a knee to the head but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nutz tries to pull guard but Johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Nutz drops back down to his feet.
Nutz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Nutz throws a knee to the head but misses.
Johnson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Nutz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Nutz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nutz with a lazy takedown attempt and Johnson moves into the clinch. Johnson keeps control of Nutz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nutz throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Nutz misses with a takedown and Johnson counters with a slapping leg kick. Johnson misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nutz throws a body kick that misses. Nutz takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses. Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nutz feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down. Nutz fails with the takedown and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson moves nicely into side control. Nutz is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Johnson looks up at the clock and then as Nutz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Johnson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nutz has one of Johnson's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nutz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Johnson throws a strike aimed at the side of Nutz's head but Nutz avoids it well. Johnson trying to control the position but Nutz is working away. Johnson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jake Johnson. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
