Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Coley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Ray Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coley comes into the arena with Disturbed Inside the Fire blaring out of the sound system. Stevie Ray Samson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Coley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stevie Ray Samson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coley sizes up Samson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Coley wants to clinch. Samson misses with the combination.
Samson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Samson looks to land a body kick but Coley moved away. Coley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Coley throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Coley misses with a combination
and Samson counters with a low kick, right behind Coley 's knee. Coley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Samson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Samson throws a hook but Coley blocks it. Samson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Coley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Samson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Coley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samson tries to stand but Coley is controlling from the bottom. Samson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Coley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Samson defends it easily. Coley is breathing heavily. Samson drops back looking for a leg! Coley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Coley manages to kick Samson off! Samson jumps back into Coley's guard. Coley isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Samson stacks Coley on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Samson!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Samson trying to control the position but Coley is working away. Samson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Coley to his feet. Coley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Coley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Samson avoids it really well and circles away. Samson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Samson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Samson throws a right and a left that Coley avoids nicely. Nice sprawl there from Coley as Samson shoots in. Samson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Samson lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Samson stands up and waves to Coley to follow him. Coley tries to clinch but Samson moves out of range. Samson tries to land a body kick and Coley counters with an inside leg kick. Samson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Coley closes the distance and clinches up with Samson, looking for a takedown. Coley pushes Samson against the cage but Samson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Samson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Coley slips a straight right by Samson. Samson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Samson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Coley gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Samson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Samson looks to land a combination but Coley avoids it well. Samson misses with a body kick. Samson throws a big shot that misses. Coley blocks a head kick by Samson.
Coley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Samson was covering up waiting for the punch and Coley finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Samson managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stevie Ray Samson dominated that round. That's time! Coley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Coley counters with a left and a right that stings Samson. Coley closes the distance looking to clinch and Samson counters with a takedown into side control. Samson stands up and beckons Coley to his feet. Samson fails with the takedown. Coley tries to clinch but Samson moves out of range. Samson with a lazy takedown attempt and Coley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Coley tries to clinch up and Samson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coley punching from the bottom.
Samson is keen to just control but Coley is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coley actively working from the bottom here. Samson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Samson is looking to take a break and control but Coley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Samson is thwarting Coley's attempts to control the position. Samson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Brian Coley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Samson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Coley manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A combination from Coley does no damage. Coley tries to clinch up and Samson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Samson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Coley tries to clinch but Samson moves out of range. Samson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Coley. Coley obviously looking to wear him down.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Coley throws a hook to the side of Samson's head but Samson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Samson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Coley closes the distance and clinches up with Samson, looking for a takedown. Coley pushes Samson against the cage but Samson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd cheers as Samson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Coley doesn't seem phased though. Coley avoids the head kick by Samson.
A head kick misses from Samson. Samson has a takedown stuffed. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Samson is defended easily by Coley. Samson misses with a low kick. Coley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coley blocks a head kick by Samson.

Stevie Ray Samson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Coley scores with a sloppy right hand. Samson should have avoided that one. Coley feints and then cracks Samson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Samson down. Coley moves away from the strike by Samson. Coley wants to clinch up but Samson keeps it at a distance. Samson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Coley.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coley throws a looping overhand right but Samson ducks down to avoid it. Samson throws a right and a left that Coley avoids nicely. Coley moves out of range of the body kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Samson misses with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Samson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Coley's half guard. Coley is looking for a sweep. Samson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Coley is staying active underneath Samson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Samson wants to work for an arm triangle but Coley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Coley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Samson fails with a takedown attempt. Coley tries to clinch up. Samson misses with a low kick as Coley jumps back. Coley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Samson avoids it really well and circles away. Samson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Coley's sensitive parts. Samson throws a sloppy head kick and Coley counters with a head kick. That will keep Samson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Samson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Coley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Samson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Coley throws a right and a left that Samson avoids nicely. Samson throws a nice looking combination but Coley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Samson leaves Coley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Samson lands a nice looking body shot.
Coley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Samson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Samson!

Brian Coley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stevie Ray Samson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nice sprawl there from Coley as Samson shoots in. Coley throws a leg kick and Samson counters with a head kick. That will keep Coley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that's the end of the fight! Stevie Ray Samson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Samson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
