Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vince Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Zion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zion comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards - 1% kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bob Zion is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Zion!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zion cracks the inside of Smith's front leg.
Smith throws a body punch but Zion moves out of range.
Zion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zion gets slowly back to his feet.
Zion keeps the fight on the outside.
Zion tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Smith counters with a single leg into guard. Zion didn't expect that.
Smith won't allow Zion to get back to his feet.
Smith trying to control but Zion is working from the bottom.
Smith postures up in Zion's guard and throws a big left but Zion blocks it.
Zion wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Smith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Zion's guard.
Zion wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Smith is looking to advance position but Zion won't allow it.
Smith missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Smith passes the guard and advances to mount!
Smith get's back to his feet.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

Smith shoots in and bounces Zion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith prevents Zion from getting back to his feet.
Zion looks gassed!
Smith stands up and waves to Zion to follow him.
Zion throws a combination that misses
and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zion's guard now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Smith works over Zion with some ground and pound from guard.
Smith postures up.
Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.

Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Smith passes Zion's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Zion tries to kick Smith off in order to stand up. Smith Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Zion tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Smith easily slips into full mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Smith gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith dives in and grabs Zion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zion pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Bob Zion has been cut.
Smith tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Zion keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zion clinches but Smith breaks the clinch
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Left hook, right uppercut from Smith.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith is looking to land body kicks.
Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zion napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zion is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Smith decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zion to his feet.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Zion moves out of range easily.
Zion circles away from the clinch attempt
and Zion counters with an inside leg kick.
Smith will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Zion looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
Zion tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A frustrated look appears on Smith's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Smith decides to pull guard.

Zion won't allow Smith to sweep him here.
Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Smith keeping full guard, as Zion tries to pass.
Smith is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Zion avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smith has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Zion off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Zion counters with an outside leg kick.
Zion fails to land with a series of punches.
Zion tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Smith throws a lazy head kick
and Zion counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Smith desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Smith manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Zion takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vince Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vince Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Bob Zion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Smith cracks Zion with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Zion from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Well Smith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
