Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeke Stortz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stortz has chosen CkY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weston shoots in for a takedown but Stortz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Weston fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stortz avoids it really well and circles away. No luck for Weston with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Weston. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stortz throws a right and a left that Weston avoids nicely. Stortz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stortz lands in his opponent's guard. Stortz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stortz advances position into side control! Stortz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Stortz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weston keeps working. Weston is trying to get back to half guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Weston tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stortz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Stortz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stortz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Weston is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stortz tries for a kimura but Weston is defending well. Stortz tries to advance to mount but Weston denies him. Stortz is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Weston has escaped the position, nice work there. Stortz looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Weston sneaks back into half guard. Weston looking for submissions off his back. Stortz looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Weston is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stortz scores with a couple of nice shots. Stortz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Weston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stortz wants to pass the guard but Weston is defending well. Weston is not content to let Stortz control the position. Weston looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Weston looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Weston could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Weston doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stortz counters with a single leg into guard. Weston didn't expect that. Stortz trying to control the position from guard on top but Weston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stortz drops back looking for a leg! Weston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Weston manages to kick Stortz off! Stortz jumps back into Weston's guard. Stortz postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Stortz slips nicely into half guard. Weston is in trouble now - Stortz has advanced to mount! Stortz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Stortz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Stortz is working for a guillotine from mount but Weston frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weston can't escape the position.
Stortz tries to control but Weston wriggling away. Stortz looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Stortz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Weston manages to avoid the submission attempt. Weston manages to work his way to half guard, despite Stortz's best efforts. Stortz seems to be looking for submissions.
Stortz is looking to advance position but Weston won't allow it. Weston looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeke Stortz dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Weston shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stortz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stortz slips nicely into half guard. Stortz trying to control the pace. Weston looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Stortz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Weston does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stortz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Weston doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stortz. Stortz is looking for a kimura here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stortz pulls his head out easily. Stortz is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! A nice elbow there by Stortz. Stortz looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Weston is in all sorts of trouble here.
A nice elbow there by Stortz. Stortz cracks Weston with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Weston is desperately trying to improve his position but Stortz has a good base and remains in mount. Stortz working the ground and pound effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weston tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stortz wants to control the pace but Weston is squirming around nicely. Zeke Stortz has got the better of the ground game so far. Stortz working for a submission but Weston is keeping him at bay. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stortz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stortz has control of Weston's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Weston regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stortz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Stortz throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Weston is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stortz lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Stortz swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
