PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Epp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jenkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Islander. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clayton Epp!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Epp or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins which made him look bad.
Epp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins pinned against the cage. Jenkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Epp tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Epp to the ground. Epp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sparky Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clayton Epp.

Jenkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Epp is just riding it out for now. Jenkins eventually gives up the hold.

Epp is pulling down on Jenkins's head to control his posture.

Jenkins drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jenkins as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Epp screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jenkins! Nice submission victory there!
