Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista stuffs the takedown attempt from Lashley. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet.
Batista gets a clinch.
Batista pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Lashley with that takedown attempt.
Batista looks to land a combination. Lashley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Bobby Lashley has been cut.
Batista tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lashley swivels and escapes.

and Batista counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
John Batista has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Lashley.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lashley leaves Batista with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Batista has cracked Lashley with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Batista lands another huge swinging hook and Lashley tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Lashley, before Batista can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Batista!
