Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reddington looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Reddington decides to stand and escape the position.
George is breathing heavily.

George throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reddington was covering up waiting for the punch and George finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reddington trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
George looking to pass the guard.
George trying to control the position from guard on top but Reddington is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reddington is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Reddington controls George momentarily but George frees himself.
Reddington wants to sweep here but George controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Reddington is trying to control the position from the bottom.
George looking to pass the guard.
Reddington thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Reddington bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in George's guard.
George is looking to sweep but instead, Reddington has passed into half guard.
Reddington is controlling the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Reddington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reddington feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to George's calf.

Reddington feints and as George raises his hands in defense, Reddington changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reddington works a leg free and moves into half guard.
George is in trouble now - Reddington has advanced to mount!
George is trying to escape the mount.
Reddington with shots to the head and body - George looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reddington tries to clinch up but George circles away and keeps his distance.
George with a poor takedown
and Reddington counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Reddington fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. George sprawls well initially but Reddington persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
George wants to improve his position but Reddington is controlling well.
Reddington is trying to control the action in half guard but George is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
It looks like Reddington is going to stand back up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

George won't allow Reddington to pass to mount.
George really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
George is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Reddington stalling.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reddington doesn't succeed with the takedown

and George counters by clinching up.

George breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reddington misses with a few strikes there.

and Reddington counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reddington.

George tries to strike from the bottom.
George wants to sweep but no luck.
Reddington slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
George wants to stand up but Reddington is controlling him.
George is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Reddington postures up and lands a big shot to George's brow.

George wants to stand and escape but Reddington is having none of it.
Reddington must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
George stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and George wants it to stay on the feet.

George closes the distance and clinches.
George has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Reddington is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Reddington jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as George walks away with a smile on his face. Reddington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bret George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Reddington.

and George counters by moving into the clinch.
George is working for takedown but Reddington is calmly controlling the position for now.
Reddington jumps guard but George stands there with Reddington around his waist. Reddington gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Reddington takes a knee to the side of the body.
Reddington wants a takedown but no success here.

George tries to circle away but Reddington has him pinned against the cage.

Reddington pulls George into guard.
Reddington preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Reddington pushes George off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Reddington shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and George counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reddington won't be happy with that.

George is looking to take a break and control but Reddington is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Greg Reddington will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


George fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Reddington checks it well.
Reddington fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches George on the side of the head.

Reddington closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reddington lands in his opponent's guard.

George looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reddington is one step ahead there.

Reddington tries to free his leg and advance position but George is retaining full guard.

Reddington makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Reddington is stalling in the full guard.
Greg Reddington has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reddington tries to free his leg and advance position but George is retaining full guard.
George is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Reddington pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Greg Reddington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reddington shoots and misses
and Reddington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
George tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reddington swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Reddington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. George defends it nicely.
George doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Reddington counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Reddington.

George tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Reddington has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

George tries to hold on but Reddington pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
George is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Reddington content just to control the position here.
George wants to control but Reddington is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bret George has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Greg Reddington is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
