Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Kaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Tapanakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaka comes to the cage accompanied by Pjanoo by Eric Prydaz. The key to victory for Ricardo Kaka has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaka is looking to slow Tapanakara down with leg kicks.
Tapanakara throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kaka was covering up waiting for the punch and Tapanakara finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tapanakara postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kaka has his foot on Tapanakara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tapanakara works his way back into a safe position though.
Kaka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tapanakara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tapanakara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaka swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tapanakara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kaka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tapanakara on the ground.

Tapanakara wants to take a breather but Kaka manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Tapanakara.

Tapanakara has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kaka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tapanakara.

Crunch! Kaka slams his shin into Tapanakara's torso.
Kaka throws a head kick that half lands.
Kaka tries to land a front kick but Tapanakara steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Tapanakara counters with a shoot takedown. Kaka fights it but they end up in guard.
Kaka pulls Tapanakara in close to his closed guard and prevents Tapanakara from doing any damage or advancing position.
