Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skader is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Boase throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skader's waist but Skader gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boase off to one side.

Skader is looking to stand up but Boase isn't so interested in that idea.
Skader is working an open guard so Boase takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Boase drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boase jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boase is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Skader is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Skader has escaped and now he's on top!
Skader tries to stand but Boase is controlling from the bottom.
Boase has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Skader can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boase looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That was a close second round but I would say that Derek Boase will probably get the nod.
