Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wrestling Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wrestling Law! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Peter! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Law swats him away and circles back towards the center. Horrible takedown by Law or perhaps it was just good defense by Peter which made him look bad. Peter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Law fails with a takedown attempt. Peter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peter doesn't manage to clinch there - Law circles away.
Peter tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Peter. Law shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Law showed some decent athleticism there. Law is taking a breather. Peter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Law works his way into side control. The referee asks Law politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Law prefers to stall for the moment though. Peter pushes Law away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Law gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Peter seems a little lost for a moment, as Law dominates the positioning. Peter wants to get back to his feet but Law drags him back down. Law throws an elbow but Peter slips to the side and avoids it well. Peter is being controlled here. Law is breathing heavily. Peter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. A lull in the action here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Wrestling Law just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Peter wants to clinch. Law shoots in for a takedown but Peter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wrestling Law. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Peter lands a nice shot to the body.

Peter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Law's calf. Peter tries to clinch up. Good standup being displayed there by Peter as he connects with a hook. Peter connects with a solid leg kick. Peter throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Law. Peter throws a right and a left that Law avoids nicely. Both fighters circling a little - Peter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Law shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peter but Peter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peter misses with a two punch combination.

Peter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Law swats him away and circles back towards the center. Peter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mark Peter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Law closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peter circles away. Peter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Peter thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Law if he has to take too many more of those.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Law gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Law on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Peter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Peter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Law backs up against the cage.
Peter connects with a high kick. The crowd cheers as Peter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Law doesn't seem phased though. Peter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Law. Law circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nice sprawl there from Peter as Law shoots in. Law fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Law takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Peter tries to clinch but Law is having none of it. Peter moves into range and clinches up with Law. Peter creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Law's defenses.
It looks like Wrestling Law has been cut. Peter scores with a shoulder strike. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Law takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Law takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Peter throws a leg kick which misses Law's front leg but catches the back leg as Law tries to avoid it. Peter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Law walks into a jab. Peter throws a series of punches but Law moves out of range. Peter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peter rushes Law and presses him up against the cage. Peter breaks from the clinch.
Law is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Nice straight punches there by Peter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Peter.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. No luck with that takedown attempt from Law. Law takes a kick to the side of the head. Law looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Peter moves into range and connects with a jab. A combination from Peter does no damage. Peter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Peter lands with a shot to the body. Peter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Peter lands with a hook. Law tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Peter moves in looking to clinch but Law pushes him off.

Law shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Peter is trying to defend but Law finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Law with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Law prevents Peter from standing back up.
Law controlling the action here. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Law seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Peter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Peter tries to stand but Law is controlling his head.

Mark Peter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Peter wants to clinch. Peter lands with a kick to the temple. Law shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Peter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Law circles away quickly and effectively. Law walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Peter lands a nice looking body kick. Law swats away the attempt to clinch by Peter. Law circles away from the clinch attempt.
Law takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Peter throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Peter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Good leg kick by Peter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wrestling Law has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Peter plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Peter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Peter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
