The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medici thows a body shot but no joy.
Joe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Medici defends it nicely.
Medici throws a right and a left that both miss.
Joe blocks a jab.
Joe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Medici misses with a hook. Joe ducked under it nicely.
Medici misses with a looping right.
Joe misses with a wild combination.
Medici lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Guy Joe has been cut.
Medici changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Medici throws a right hand that Joe ducks under and follows up with a left that Joe also avoids with ease.
The fight stays on the outside here - Joe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Medici punishes Joe's body with a nice straight punch.
Joe is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Medici has cracked Joe with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Medici lands another huge swinging hook and Joe tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Joe, before Medici can land any more shots!
