Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tito Tutter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sterling Contreras!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Contreras looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tutter!

Contreras goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tutter turns into him and now he's in Contreras's guard.

Tutter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Tutter feints and as Contreras raises his hands in defense, Tutter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tutter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Contreras swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Contreras jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tutter walks away with a smile on his face. Contreras gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Contreras drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Contreras jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Contreras postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tutter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Contreras, into his guard.

Sterling Contreras dominated that round.
That's time! Tutter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Tutter has his takedown stuffed

and Contreras counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tutter!
Tutter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Contreras is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tutter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Contreras working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tutter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tutter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Contreras pushes Tutter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tutter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Contreras feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sterling Contreras showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Contreras closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tutter did well to prevent Contreras getting side control.
Tutter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Contreras is working away from the top position though.

Tutter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Contreras looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Contreras is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tutter can't fight it off and eventually Contreras manages to take the fight to the floor. Tutter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Contreras stands and steps away. Tutter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sterling Contreras comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Contreras has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
