PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Valchek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Valchek struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Joe Valchek looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valchek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reed manages to avoid it.
Valchek looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Reed throws out a loose jab but Valchek uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reed looks to throw the jab but Valchek is out of range.
Valchek is looking to clinch.
Valchek throws a jab but it's blocked by Reed.
Reed connects with a looping right hand.
Reed shoots in but Valchek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A big left from Reed misses.
Reed swats away the attempt to clinch by Valchek.
Reed fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Valchek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
