Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abidah Augustus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruth Ginsberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augustus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ginsberg but Ginsberg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ginsberg stuffs the takedown.
Ginsberg drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Augustus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ginsberg tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ginsberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ginsberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Augustus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Augustus is breathing heavily.
Ginsberg has hold of one of Augustus's legs. Augustus is fighting the takedown attempt but Ginsberg gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Augustus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ginsberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ginsberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Augustus pulls Ginsberg in close to his closed guard and prevents Ginsberg from doing any damage or advancing position.

Augustus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ginsberg's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Augustus drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Augustus as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ginsberg screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Augustus! Nice submission victory there!
