Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trey Money acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimbo Loaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trey Money!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loaf avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Money fails in his attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Loaf.
Loaf throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Money shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Loaf has taken the fight to the clinch.

Loaf manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Money postures up.
Loaf looking for a sweep. Not yet Loaf, not yet.
Money stops Loaf from standing up.
Money tries to free his leg and advance position but Loaf is retaining full guard.
Loaf looking to hit a scissor sweep but Money is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loaf working a defensive guard here.

Loaf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Money can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Money fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Money wants to clinch but Loaf slips to the side
and Loaf counters with a right hand to the body.
Loaf fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Loaf clinches.
Loaf gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Money.
Kimbo Loaf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trey Money.

Loaf has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Money uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Loaf escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Money gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Money wants to control from the top but Loaf keeps moving.
Money passes Loaf's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Loaf is not content to let Money control the position.

Money is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Money uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Loaf.
Loaf tries a head kick but it misses.
Loaf's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Loaf duly obliges.
Loaf walks forward, straight into a front kick from Money.

Money looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Loaf tries to kick Money off but Money keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loaf taking some punishment here, with Money in his half guard.

Money looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Loaf is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kimbo Loaf will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nice sprawl there from Loaf as Money shoots in.
Loaf swats away the attempt to clinch by Money.
Loaf throws a lazy body kick

and Money counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Money.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Loaf is on top in guard.

Money is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Loaf is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Money is looking for a triangle but Loaf pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Loaf tries to free his leg and advance position but Money is retaining full guard.

Money looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Loaf decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Money, up you get!
Money wants to clinch but Loaf slips to the side
and Loaf counters with a series of strikes. Money will be more careful next time no doubt.
Loaf fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Money darts in and clinches Loaf up against the cage.

Money is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Loaf tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Money just stands there and leans against the cage.
Money has Loaf pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Loaf manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Loaf manages to break the clinch.
Loaf tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Money paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Loaf looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbo Loaf. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Money.
Loaf can't do much from the bottom here.
Loaf is looking to regain half guard here but Money keeps moving and retains side control.

Money postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Loaf defending against the ground and pound.
Money has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Loaf!
Money takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Loaf is trying to reverse the position but instead Money has taken his back - oops!

Loaf looking very determined here, making life difficult for Money.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Loaf prevents Money from getting a body triangle.
Loaf holding both Money 's hands and preventing any damage.

Money patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Money looking for the RNC.
Money cracks Loaf with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Loaf from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trey Money showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Money tries for a takedown but Loaf sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Loaf will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Money fails with a takedown attempt.
Loaf shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Money as he jumps to the side.
Loaf misses with a takedown attempt - Money sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Money clinches.

Loaf breaks from the clinch.

Loaf gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Loaf keeping moving, preventing Money from controlling successfully.
Money lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Money trying to control the position from guard on top but Loaf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Loaf has his hands on Money's head, controlling the position.

Money's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Loaf keeping moving, preventing Money from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Money tries to clinch up
and Loaf makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kimbo Loaf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Money throws a head kick but Loaf moves out of range.

Loaf closes the distance and clinches.

Money jumps guard and drags Loaf to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Loaf looking to sit in guard and control but Money gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Money wants to control from the top but Loaf keeps moving.
Money not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Loaf wants to get back to his feet but Money is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Loaf is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Money slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Loaf is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Trey Money comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Money has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
