1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Oberg! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oberg avoids the body shot from Nunoz.
Nunoz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oberg has his takedown stuffed and Nunoz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Oberg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Oberg looking for submissions off his back. Nunoz tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Oberg works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunoz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nunoz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oberg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nunoz has managed to get both his arms back between Oberg's legs - danger averted. Oberg will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Oberg wants to land a leg kick but Nunoz is out of range.

Oberg with a poor takedown and Nunoz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Oberg looks gassed! Oberg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nunoz defends well. Nunoz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oberg on the ground. Nunoz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oberg misses with a takedown and Nunoz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ken Nunoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Oberg. Nunoz controls from within his opponent's guard. Oberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nunoz defends it easily. Nunoz's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Nunoz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Nunoz tries to stand but Oberg is controlling from the bottom. Oberg has his foot on Nunoz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nunoz works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nunoz tries to stand but Oberg is controlling from the bottom. Oberg wants to sweep here but Nunoz controlling him for the moment. Nunoz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Oberg tries to bench press Nunoz off him but Nunoz keeps the position. The referee asks Nunoz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nunoz prefers to stall for the moment though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oberg tries to buck Nunoz off but Nunoz is having none of it. Nunoz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Oberg to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oberg shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nunoz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nunoz stands up out of the half guard. Oberg with a lazy takedown attempt and Nunoz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ken Nunoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Oberg. Nunoz stuffs the takedown. Nunoz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nunoz gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Oberg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nunoz swats him away and circles back towards the center. Oberg with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nunoz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Oberg is trying to defend but Nunoz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Oberg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Oberg looking for submissions off his back. Oberg looks to clinch and Nunoz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oberg's guard now. Oberg throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Oberg has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nunoz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Oberg. Oberg is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunoz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Oberg's legs. Oberg is being controlled here. Oberg is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Oberg manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Nunoz looks like he's trying to stand up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nunoz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Oberg tries to roll over but Nunoz keeps him under control. Oberg looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Nunoz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nunoz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
