Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Bummin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bummin's choice of entrance music: Self Recorded. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Al Bummin! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bummin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bummin advances to half guard. Rodrigo makes his way to full guard, as Bummin worked for a kimura.
Rodrigo keeping full guard, as Bummin tries to pass. Bummin passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bummin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rodrigo has escaped the position, nice work there. Rodrigo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Bummin is trying to get an arm triangle but Rodrigo is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodrigo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bummin has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bummin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bummin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bummin looks gassed! Bummin prevents Rodrigo from escaping the position. Bummin tries for a kimura but Rodrigo is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rodrigo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bummin asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A left and a right from Bummin both land. Nice combination. Rodrigo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bummin's half guard. Rodrigo works his way into full mount! Rodrigo trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Bummin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rodrigo. Rodrigo trying to control but Bummin is having none of it. Rodrigo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bummin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Bummin is trying to improve his position. Bummin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rodrigo is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bummin shoots and misses and Rodrigo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rodrigo wants to control but Bummin is keeping him busy. Rodrigo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bummin is trying to get back to full guard. Rodrigo seems to be working for a kimura but Bummin defends the submission attempt. Bummin looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bummin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rodrigo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rodrigo's back! Rodrigo trying to get back to his feet but Bummin is in full control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Enrique Rodrigo will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rodrigo keeps the fight on the outside. Bummin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rodrigo. Bummin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rodrigo's guard. Rodrigo wants to stand but Bummin is controlling the position. Bummin tries to free his leg and advance position but Rodrigo is retaining full guard. Bummin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rodrigo dives on top into guard. Bummin is breathing heavily. Rodrigo advances to half guard.

Bummin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rodrigo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Bummin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rodrigo pulls his head out easily. Rodrigo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rodrigo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bummin is just riding it out for now. Rodrigo eventually gives up the hold.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bummin tries for a takedown but Rodrigo circles away easily so Rodrigo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bummin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rodrigo advances position into side control! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The referee asks Rodrigo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rodrigo prefers to stall for the moment though. Rodrigo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bummin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rodrigo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodrigo is looking to take a break and control but Bummin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bummin is looking for a sweep. Rodrigo trying to control the position but Bummin is working away. Rodrigo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bummin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Bummin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Enrique Rodrigo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rodrigo not doing much here.

Rodrigo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bummin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rodrigo has hold of Bummin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bummin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rodrigo tries to control but Bummin wriggling away. Rodrigo controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrique Rodrigo dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Rodrigo tries for a takedown but Bummin circles away easily and Bummin counters with a takedown into side control. Rodrigo wants to get back to his feet. Bummin tries to advance to mount but Rodrigo denies him. Bummin swings around for an armbar but Rodrigo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bummin's guard. Bummin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Rodrigo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bummin's guard. Bummin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rodrigo is looking for a kimura but Bummin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rodrigo to get the leverage. Rodrigo prevents Bummin from improving his position. Rodrigo is looking to take a break and control but Bummin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bummin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rodrigo's guard. Nice work there by Bummin.
