Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Cozad!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JanOle Stafjard!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stafjard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Stafjard is looking for a kimura but Cozad is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stafjard to get the leverage.

Stafjard is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cozad is just riding it out for now. Stafjard eventually gives up the hold.

Cozad wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
