Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roddy Piper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clark Griswold! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piper swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Griswold. Griswold tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Piper paws at him with a jab and circles away. Piper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Griswold pinned against the cage. Griswold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Griswold throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Piper.
It looks like Roddy Piper has been cut. Horrible takedown by Piper or perhaps it was just good defense by Griswold which made him look bad. Piper lands a jab to the nose. Griswold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Griswold won't allow Piper to sweep him here. Griswold trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Griswold trying to control the position from guard on top but Piper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Piper wants to improve his position but instead Griswold has moved into half guard.
Piper is trying to maintain the position but Griswold is very close to passing his half guard. Griswold seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piper wants to get back to full guard. Piper gets back to full guard.
Piper keeping moving, preventing Griswold from controlling successfully. Piper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griswold doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griswold manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Piper is looking for a triangle but Griswold pushes his legs off easily.
Piper is trying to control the position but Griswold postures up. Griswold looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Griswold wants to get up but he can't break Piper's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Piper is looking to sinch up a triangle. Griswold throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Piper's body to avoid the submission. Piper has instead reached around Griswold's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Piper arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Roddy Piper!
