Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Avitzianos Devigenna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jani Pekkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Avitzianos Devigenna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jani Pekkanen! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekkanen throws out a loose jab but Devigenna uses good head movement to avoid it. Pekkanen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Avitzianos Devigenna has been cut. Devigenna feints and as Pekkanen raises his hands in defense, Devigenna changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Devigenna slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Devigenna trying to control but Pekkanen is working from the bottom. Devigenna loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pekkanen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Devigenna not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Devigenna forces his way into half guard.

Devigenna stalling. Devigenna thows a huge punch but Pekkanen dodges it nicely.
Pekkanen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Devigenna thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pekkanen's head. Pekkanen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Devigenna shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jani Pekkanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Devigenna has managed to clinch.
Pekkanen is trying to maintain a safe position but Devigenna gets an underhook and turns Pekkanen into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pekkanen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Devigenna keeps control of Pekkanen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Devigenna throws a head punch that misses. Pekkanen looking to stall.
Pekkanen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pekkanen tries to circle away but Devigenna has him pinned against the cage. Devigenna tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pekkanen just stands there and leans against the cage. Devigenna prevents a takedown attempt there.
Devigenna lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pekkanen backwards. Pekkanen has had enough of the clinch but Devigenna keeps him there for the moment. A frustrated look appears on Pekkanen's face as he tries to break the clinch. Pekkanen looks gassed! Pekkanen jumps guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devigenna working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pekkanen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Devigenna. Devigenna wants to control from the top but Pekkanen keeps moving. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Devigenna slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Devigenna stands and throws Pekkanen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Devigenna working the body and head with strikes. Pekkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Devigenna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Devigenna working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Check out the look on Devigenna's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Devigenna remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Devigenna's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Devigenna in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Devigenna in side control, just content to control the action for now. Devigenna scoring with punches and elbows. A close round but Jani Pekkanen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Avitzianos Devigenna's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Devigenna gets a takedown into half guard. Devigenna wants to work for an arm triangle but Pekkanen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Devigenna has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Devigenna scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Devigenna working over Pekkanen with some ground and pound. Pekkanen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Devigenna not landing any meaningful shots this time. Devigenna wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pekkanen keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Avitzianos Devigenna just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Pekkanen lands a slapping body shot.
Pekkanen lands with a cross. Nice straight punches there by Pekkanen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pekkanen. Pekkanen lands a slapping body shot.
Pekkanen jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pekkanen throws out a powerful jab. Devigenna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pekkanen, pushing him back against the cage. Pekkanen has had enough of the clinch but Devigenna keeps him there for the moment. Devigenna breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pekkanen ducks under a wild hook from Devigenna. Devigenna clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pekkanen working some nice short punches in the clinch. Devigenna has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pekkanen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pekkanen avoids the strikes from Devigenna. Devigenna is persistently looking for the submission but Pekkanen is defending it well.

Pekkanen looking for a sweep. Not yet Pekkanen, not yet. Devigenna thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Devigenna slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devigenna preventing the sweep. Pekkanen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Devigenna keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pekkanen's head. Devigenna controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Devigenna prevents Pekkanen from getting back to his feet. Devigenna decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Devigenna is looking to clinch but Pekkanen is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Devigenna tries to clinch there but Pekkanen circles away.
Pekkanen misses with a straight right. Devigenna shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Devigenna was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Devigenna controlling the position easily from mount. Devigenna raining down shots from the mount! Devigenna sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Devigenna lands with some strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Avitzianos Devigenna dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Avitzianos Devigenna's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Devigenna moves out of range as Pekkanen strikes. Devigenna shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Devigenna feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Devigenna gets to his feet - Pekkanen follows without any prompting. Devigenna throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Devigenna moves in looking to clinch but Pekkanen pushes him off. Pekkanen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Devigenna shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pekkanen is trying to defend but Devigenna finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Devigenna moves into full mount! Pekkanen won't be happy about that! Devigenna landing strikes from the mount and Pekkanen is in trouble! Devigenna takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pekkanen is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devigenna is in the full mount, landing strikes. Devigenna working the ground and pound effectively.
Devigenna has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pekkanen's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pekkanen in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Devigenna controlling from mount. Pekkanen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Devigenna wants to control the pace but Pekkanen is squirming around nicely. Devigenna postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pekkanen looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Devigenna controlling the position easily from mount. Pekkanen is squirming around, avoiding Devigenna's attempts to control the action. Devigenna scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pekkanen?

That's four minutes gone in the round. Devigenna swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pekkanen is now in Devigenna's guard. A big mistake from Devigenna there, giving up the dominant position! Devigenna wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Pekkanen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Devigenna is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pekkanen is controlling him. Devigenna keeping moving, preventing Pekkanen from controlling successfully. Devigenna has Pekkanen pulled in close to control his posture.
And that's the end of the fight! Avitzianos Devigenna showed his dominance in that final round. I think Devigenna has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
