Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Kova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn comes to the cage accompanied by Go To Church. Kova has chosen Jääkärimarssi as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kova misses with the combination.
Kova shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Kova keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kova can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kova connects with a nice short shot to Penn's temple.

Kova seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Seppo Kova will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Penn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kova is fending him off so far but Penn persists. Nope, Kova circles away and we're back to standing.
Kova throws a nice looking combination but Penn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kova closes the distance and pushes Penn back into the cage.
Penn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kova pulls his leg out and moves away.

Penn shoots for a double leg takedown but Kova sprawls well. He's pushed Penn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kova changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Kova manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Penn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kova stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kova got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kova has managed to get both his arms back between Penn's legs - danger averted.

Penn has his feet on Kova's thighs here. He's pushed Kova off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kova screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
