Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robin Carlgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barba Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baba is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Barbapapa intro. Robin Carlgren has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Barba Baba!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlgren looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Baba tries to clinch there but Carlgren circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baba looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Baba lands with a thumping leg kick.
Baba moves in looking to clinch but Carlgren pushes him off.
Carlgren on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Baba. Baba obviously looking to wear him down.
Carlgren misses with a double jab.

Baba rushes Carlgren and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Baba wants a takedown but no success here.
Baba throws a knee to the head but misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlgren had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Baba is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carlgren Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baba's back instead.
Baba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlgren. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baba wants to control his opponent's hands but Carlgren gets his hands free.
Baba breaks Carlgren's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Baba just misses with a elbow thrown towards Carlgren's brow.

Baba prevents Carlgren from breaking the clinch.
Carlgren jumps guard but Baba stands there with Carlgren around his waist. Carlgren gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Carlgren turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Carlgren decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Carlgren misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Baba pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Carlgren is looking to clinch.

Carlgren will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Carlgren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carlgren avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Baba keeps the fight on the outside.
Baba takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Baba lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Baba swats away the attempt to clinch by Carlgren.
Baba tries to clinch up but Carlgren circles away and keeps his distance.
Carlgren shoots in for a double leg but Baba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Baba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baba connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Baba can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carlgren is looking to escape.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carlgren is squirming around, avoiding Baba's attempts to control the action.

Carlgren wants to control but Baba is having none of it.

Baba is stalling here. Carlgren is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Baba seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Carlgren has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Baba is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carlgren's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Carlgren! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Baba has tapped! This one is allllll over!
