Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Atonio Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingston James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched. James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big Mouth Strikes Again kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Atonio Rodrigo Nogueira had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Atonio Rodrigo Nogueira! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nogueira instigates a clinch. James goes for a takedown attempt but Nogueira pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nogueira throws out the jab. James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. James is chipping away with strikes.
James lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Nogueira tries to buck James off but James is having none of it. James throwing strikes but missing, from side control. James trying to control the action but Nogueira is working from the bottom. Nogueira is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on James's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. James throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. James decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. James takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. James misses with a two punch combination.
James throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nogueira throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James. Nogueira tries to clinch but James moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nogueira is defended easily by James. Nogueira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nogueira slips a straight right by James. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nogueira clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Nogueira scores a nice knee to the body.
James tries for a takedown. No joy.
James tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nogueira gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, James regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nogueira prevents James from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nogueira, into his guard. James stops Nogueira from standing up. James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nogueira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nogueira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nogueira! Nogueira swings around for an armbar but James sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nogueira's guard. Nogueira is trying to keep James in close.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nogueira working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James. Nogueira is looking for a triangle but James pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. James thows a big elbow that misses. James throws and elbow that misses. Nogueira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Nogueira! James looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Nogueira is defending well. James quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nogueira has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! James celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kingston James! Kingston James is the new welterweight champion!
