Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Romano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Irvin ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vladimir Romano! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romano fails with a takedown attempt. Irvin tries for a takedown but Romano sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Romano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Irvin . Irvin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Romano counters with a two punch combo. Irvin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Irvin is working for a kimura but Romano is defending it quite comfortably.
Romano wants to get back to full guard. Irvin with the ground and pound but Romano uses the opportunity to regain guard. Irvin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Irvin postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Irvin wants to get up but he can't break Romano's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Romano should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Romano seems keen to control Irvin 's posture.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Romano.
Romano looks to land a combination but Irvin avoids it well. Romano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Romano looks gassed! Romano stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Irvin . That's going to take a lot out of him. Irvin slips a jab and a cross from Romano.
Irvin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romano seems keen to control Irvin 's posture. Romano keeping moving, preventing Irvin from controlling successfully.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Irvin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Romano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Irvin . Romano looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Irvin trying to control from half guard but Romano is working away. Irvin is working for a submission of some sort.

Irvin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Romano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Irvin 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Irvin 's back! Irvin is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Romano gets his way!

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Irvin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Romano working a defensive guard here.
Romano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Irvin is one step ahead there. Irvin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Vladimir Romano will probably get the nod. That's time! Irvin 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Irvin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Romano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Irvin circles away quickly and effectively. Irvin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Romano sprawls well. Romano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Irvin gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Romano with a lazy takedown attempt and Irvin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Romano trying to hold on to Irvin 's head to control him but Irvin postures up.

The fighters roll with the hold and Romano manages to kick Irvin off! Irvin jumps back into Romano's guard. Romano bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Irvin 's guard. Romano drops back, looking for a kneebar! Irvin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Irvin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Irvin ! Irvin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Irvin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Romano is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romano struggling a bit here. Irvin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Romano is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Romano sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Romano trying to control here.
Irvin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Romano regains full guard. Nicely done. Irvin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Irvin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Romano looking for a guillotine here but Irvin defends easily.

Steve Irvin dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Romano fails with the takedown and Irvin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Irvin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Romano wants to improve his position but Irvin is controlling well.
Irvin works his way into side control. Romano is looking for a sweep. Irvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Irvin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Romano keeps working. Irvin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Romano, who protects the arm well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romano is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Irvin off and has taken his back! Romano working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Romano looking to break Irvin 's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Irvin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Romano will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Irvin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Romano has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Irvin is defending well but eventually Romano manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Irvin has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
