Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Walcott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Walcott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Lawal! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawal throws a sloppy head kick and Walcott moves out of range easily. Lawal pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Walcott tries to clinch there but Lawal circles away.
Lawal lands a nice looking body shot.
Walcott clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Lawal tries to break free but Walcott pushes him back against the cage. Walcott's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walcott slows down the pace here.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Walcott just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lawal's brow. Lawal fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Joe Walcott. Walcott moves out of range of the leg kick from Lawal. Lawal shoots in but Walcott avoids the takedown attempt easily. Joe Walcott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Lawal. Lawal swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lawal dives in and grabs Walcott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walcott pushes down on Lawal's head and hops out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Walcott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawal swats him away and circles back towards the center. Walcott closes the distance and clinches. Walcott gets underhooks to prevent Lawal's takedown attempt.

Walcott seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Walcott for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Lawal managing to block the knees to the body from Walcott.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Lawal jumps guard but Walcott stands there with Lawal around his waist. Lawal gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Walcott stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Joe Walcott showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walcott, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
