The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Jangwal does no damage. Lekebusch swats away the attempt to clinch by Jangwal. Jangwal misses with a two punch combination.
A swing and a miss from Jangwal. Jangwal throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lekebusch's head. Lekebusch lunges at Jangwal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jangwal's hand. Jangwal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lekebusch circles away quickly and effectively. Lekebusch circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd cheers as Lekebusch lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jangwal doesn't seem phased though. Lekebusch lands a jab to Jangwal's midsection. Lekebusch tests Jangwal's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jangwal tries to clinch but Lekebusch moves out of range. Jangwal throws a right hand that Lekebusch ducks under and follows up with a left that Lekebusch also avoids with ease. Lekebusch connects with a crisp jab. Jangwal cracks the inside of Lekebusch's front leg. Lekebusch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jangwal's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jangwal lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lekebusch! Jangwal is trying to control Lekebusch's posture but Lekebusch avoids it. Lekebusch decides to take the fight back to the feet. Lekebusch ducks under a wild hook from Jangwal. Lekebusch takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jangwal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A punch lands to the side of Jangwal 's head but he takes it in his stride. Lekebusch takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lekebusch moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Sunny Jangwal has been cut. Jangwal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jangwal is trying to defend but Lekebusch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jangwal can do anything to dispel that myth. Lekebusch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lekebusch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jangwal napping and manages to drive through into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jangwal wants to control but Lekebusch postures up. Lekebusch scoring with punches and elbows. Lekebusch throws an elbow but Jangwal slips to the side and avoids it well. Jangwal is trying to escape the position but Lekebusch is controlling the position. You can see the frustration on Jangwal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lekebusch is looking to take a break and control but Jangwal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lekebusch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jangwal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lekebusch is chipping away with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jangwal is trying to get back to his feet. Lekebusch stands up. Jangwal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
