The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a series of strikes that have Martins backpedaling.
Dean fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martins on the side of the head.
Dean lunges at Martins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Martins's hand.

Martins gets caught flat footed, as Dean shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dean gets to his feet - Martins follows without any prompting.

Dean darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dean wants to take a breather but Martins is having none of it.

Martins has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Dean. Oh but Martins has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Dean goes limp - he's gone! Martins jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
