Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribeiro tries to clinch up. Parker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ribeiro is looking to clinch but Parker is avoiding it.
Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parker is defended easily by Ribeiro. Ribeiro lands with a nice combination. Parker backs away looking to recover.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Ribeiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Parker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parker lands in his opponent's guard. Parker is looking to work some ground and pound but Ribeiro has wrist control. Parker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ribeiro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Parker stays in close to Ribeiro's body and controls the position.

Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Parker feints and as Ribeiro raises his hands in defense, Parker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Parker chips away with some ground and pound. Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ribeiro is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ribeiro wants to stand and escape but Parker is having none of it. Parker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ribeiro looks gassed! Parker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No luck for Parker with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ribeiro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Parker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That is not cool. Ribeiro stops Parker from passing to mount. Parker working the head and body with strikes. Ribeiro is breathing heavily. Parker wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping him busy. Parker controls the position from side control.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Frank Parker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ribeiro tries to clinch there but Parker circles away.

Parker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Parker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Parker connects with a nice short shot to Ribeiro's temple. Parker is looking to pass Ribeiro's guard but actually Ribeiro recovers to full guard. Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parker stays in close to Ribeiro's body and controls the position. Ribeiro wants to get back to his feet but Parker is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ribeiro wants to get back to his feet but Parker is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Parker is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ribeiro's head. Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parker with a nice head shot there. Parker lands a couple of elbows. Parker content to stall in guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! Frank Parker showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Parker, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
