PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Seed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dish Water (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seed's entrance music is NoFx - Johnny Appleseed. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Water shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Seed manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Seed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Water's guard.

Water looking for a guillotine here but Seed defends easily.
Water is pulling down on Seed's head. It's preventing any offense from Seed, at least for the moment.

Seed postures up and lands a big shot to Water's brow.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Seed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Water slips a straight right by Seed.

Water takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Seed misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seed throws out a loose jab but Water uses good head movement to avoid it.
Seed scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Seed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Water throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seed's waist but Seed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Water off to one side.

Water postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Seed is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Water, into his guard.

Water working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Seed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Seed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnathan Seed will probably get the nod.

Water closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Water shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seed pinned against the cage. Seed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Seed seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Water is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
