Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Levi Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Andrews circles away quickly and effectively.
Andrews throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz throws a combination that misses

and Andrews counters with a single leg into guard. Diaz didn't expect that.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Andrews gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Andrews trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom.
Andrews tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard.
Andrews wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
Andrews with a flurry of punches that miss.

Andrews got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Andrews has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.
Andrews throws a strike but Diaz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andrews works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Andrews might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Andrews keeps moving.
Diaz won't allow Andrews to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Diaz closes the distance looking to clinch

and Andrews counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diaz!
Andrews throwing strikes but Diaz recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Andrews is looking to stall here but Diaz recovers full guard.
Diaz has momentary wrist control but Andrews slips an elbow through the middle.

Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Andrews wants to stand and escape but instead Diaz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diaz lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Andrews preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Andrews keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Diaz wants to clinch up but Andrews keeps it at a distance.
Diaz tries to clinch up.
Diaz tries to clinch but Andrews moves out of range.
Andrews avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diaz fails with the takedown

and Andrews counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Diaz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Andrews trying desperately to get to his feet.
Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Diaz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Andrews knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.

Andrews is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diaz controlling the position easily from mount.
Diaz lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Diaz throws some wild stikes that Andrews manages to avoid easily.
Poor strikes thrown by Diaz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Diaz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Andrews because Diaz loaded up on that one.

Diaz wants to finish this one by submission but Andrews is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Diaz.
Diaz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Andrews's face.

Diaz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Andrews manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Andrews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Diaz takes a little break here. Andrews wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Andrews is not content to let Diaz control the position.

Diaz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diaz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Diaz throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Diaz throws a strike aimed at the side of Andrews's head but Andrews avoids it well.

Diaz decides to stand back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Diaz is looking to clinch.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Andrews swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Andrews circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Levi Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

so Andrews counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Diaz has his feet on Andrews's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Andrews.

Diaz lands a hook that snaps the head of Andrews backwards.
Diaz tries to score a body lock takedown but Andrews shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Andrews on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Andrews tries to get out of the position.
The ground and pound from Diaz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joey Andrews.
I think Andrews has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
