Mays wants to clinch.
Mays tries to clinch up but tope circles away and keeps his distance.

tope escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mays throws a series of punches but tope avoids them all with ease.
Mays closes the distance and clinches up with tope, looking for a takedown. Mays pushes tope against the cage but tope circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mays pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mays shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as tope sprawls well. tope wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mays gets slowly back to his feet.

tope is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mays has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mays!

Mays wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of tope's closed guard. He's half up but tope has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! tope pivots and extends the arm, Mays falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by tope! Well done that man!
