The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
dummys drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
dummys drops back looking for a leg! Alvarez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alvarez manages to kick dummys off! dummys jumps back into Alvarez's guard.

Alvarez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but dummys can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

dummys stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
dummys drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alvarez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now dummys has Alvarez in his guard.
Alvarez throws a big right hand that misses.

Alvarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
dummys controls Alvarez momentarily but Alvarez frees himself.
Alvarez lying in dummys's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. dummys decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Alvarez taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
