Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Sutter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lincoln Jones!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutter throws a low kick but Jones avoids it.
Sutter lands a lovely overhand right.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Sutter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jones feints and as Sutter raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sutter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones.

Jones stands up and waves to Sutter to follow him.
Sutter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sutter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Sutter circles away.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jones darts in and clinches Sutter up against the cage.

Jones has Sutter pushed against the cage.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Sutter keeps him there for the moment.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sutter is keeping busy.
Sutter pushes Jones back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Jones has Sutter pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jones pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sutter tumbling to the mat - Jones dives into Sutter's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sutter holds on and takes a little breather.

Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sutter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sutter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sutter!

Sutter decides to stand back up.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sutter but Sutter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones wants to clinch up but Sutter keeps it at a distance.
Sutter cracks Jones with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sutter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sutter looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Sutter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Sutter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Eric Sutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lincoln Jones.
Jones wants to clinch.

Sutter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Sutter finds it's way through Jones's defenses.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sutter manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sutter is not content to let Jones control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Sutter will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sutter cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jones wants to clinch up but Sutter keeps it at a distance.
Sutter misses with a series of wild punches.
Sutter misses with the combination.

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sutter did well to prevent Jones getting side control.
Sutter tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Jones looks to land a strike but Sutter avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Sutter keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Sutter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sutter tries to get out of the position.

It looks like Lincoln Jones has been cut.
Eric Sutter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sutter throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Jones tries for a takedown but Sutter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sutter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sutter counters with a nice body shot.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Sutter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones throws a jab when Sutter was well out of range.
Jones wants to clinch
and Sutter counters with a stiff right hand.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sutter won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sutter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jones's best efforts.
Jones thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sutter to regain full guard.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Sutter is keeping the position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Sutter counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jones takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Sutter tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sutter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage!
Sutter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sutter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Sutter sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.

Sutter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sutter defends it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sutter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sutter goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jones moves out of range of the leg kick from Sutter.
