Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ry Laf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Guthrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ry Laf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Guthrie! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laf misses with a low kick.
Guthrie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Laf was covering up waiting for the punch and Guthrie finishes the takedown easily into guard. Laf wants to stand and escape but Guthrie is having none of it. Guthrie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laf is keeping the position for now. Laf preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Guthrie passes into half guard. Guthrie stands up from half guard. Guthrie scores with a jab. Laf acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Laf throws a head kick but Guthrie moves out of range.
Guthrie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guthrie thuds his right hand into Laf's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Laf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Guthrie cracks Laf with a good jab. Jab, jab by Guthrie - just one landing. Guthrie gets a takedown into half guard. Guthrie missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Guthrie stands up from half guard. Guthrie darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Laf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A thudding body kick lands there by Laf!
Laf throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This has been an exciting period of action! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Laf - that will leave a mark!
Guthrie looks gassed! Guthrie takes a kick to the side of the head. Laf tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ry Laf is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guthrie takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Laf wants to clinch up but Guthrie keeps it at a distance. A solid leg kick lands there for Laf.
Laf doesn't manage to clinch there - Guthrie circles away.
Guthrie walks forward, straight into a front kick from Laf. Laf throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Guthrie takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Guthrie throws the left hand but Laf avoids the punch easily. Guthrie takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Guthrie lands a right hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Guthrie moves out of range of the body kick from Laf.
Laf throws a head kick but Guthrie moves out of range.
Guthrie scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Laf throws a head kick that misses. Laf looks to land a body kick but Guthrie moved away. Laf takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Guthrie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Guthrie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guthrie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Guthrie wants to pass the guard but Laf is defending well. Guthrie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Laf's head. Guthrie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Guthrie connects with a nice short shot to Laf's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Guthrie controlling the action here. Guthrie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Guthrie is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ry Laf dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Guthrie sizes up Laf with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Guthrie works Laf's body with a nice hook. Laf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Laf swings for the body but Guthrie moves out of range.
Donk. Guthrie catches Laf right on the button with a cross. Laf on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Guthrie misses with a few strikes there.
Laf throws a push kick but Guthrie slaps the foot to one side. Donk. Guthrie catches Laf right on the button with a cross. A jab from Guthrie does it's job there. Guthrie lands the left hand. Guthrie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Laf in his tracks. Guthrie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Laf. Jab from Guthrie. Laf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Laf shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Laf pivots, looking for a leg kick but Guthrie is out of range and Laf settles back down. Laf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Guthrie cracks Laf with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guthrie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laf looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Guthrie trying to control the action but Laf is working from the bottom. Guthrie cracks Laf with a big right hand but Laf just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Guthrie scores with a couple of short elbows. Laf takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Guthrie working the head and body with strikes. Laf parries the strikes from Guthrie easily there. Guthrie is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Laf to escape.
Guthrie working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laf takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Guthrie stands up. Guthrie's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Guthrie duly obliges. Laf takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Guthrie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Laf looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Guthrie feints and as Laf raises his hands in defense, Guthrie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Laf is working an open guard so Guthrie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Guthrie lands with a good body shot. Guthrie lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Guthrie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Guthrie punishes Laf's body with a nice straight punch. A clash of legs there as Guthrie blocks the low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guthrie scores with a shot to the body.
Laf tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Guthrie lands a nice hook to Laf's body. Laf takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ry Laf is winning the standup battle so far. Guthrie stalks Laf and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Laf's face. Laf staggers backwards, shaken. Guthrie displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Guthrie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ry Laf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Guthrie throws a combination. Laf tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Laf takes a body punch but keeps moving. Guthrie lands with a right hand. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Guthrie!
A right-left combo lands from Guthrie. Guthrie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Left hook, right uppercut from Guthrie. A jab from Guthrie does it's job there. Guthrie scores with a shot to the body.
Guthrie works over Laf's head and body with a nice combination. Guthrie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Laf stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Laf moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Excellent takedown into side control there by Guthrie. David Guthrie has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guthrie has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Laf! Guthrie putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Laf is rocked! Laf takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Guthrie's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
