Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nozomu Itoshiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Schwanz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itoshiki comes to the cage accompanied by Ringo Mogire Beam. Schwanz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tool - Lipan Conjuring kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nozomu Itoshiki! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hans Schwanz! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwanz checks a leg kick nicely. Schwanz scores with a leg kick.
Schwanz misses with a body shot.
Schwanz looks for the body kick but Itoshiki saw that one coming. Itoshiki loads up on a big right hand but Schwanz slips the punch. Itoshiki lands a right hook to the body.
Schwanz slips a jab from Itoshiki. A lazy body kick from Itoshiki and Schwanz makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Itoshiki really felt that one! Schwanz slips under a jab. Schwanz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Itoshiki. That one must have hurt. Itoshiki scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Itoshiki misses and Schwanz counters with a lovely straight right hand! Itoshiki misses with a low kick.
Itoshiki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Schwanz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Itoshiki throws a leg kick which misses Schwanz's front leg but catches the back leg as Schwanz tries to avoid it. A decent looking body kick lands there for Itoshiki. Schwanz slips a jab from Itoshiki. Itoshiki misses with a hook. A low kick from Itoshiki is predictable there and Schwanz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Itoshiki misses the jab. Itoshiki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Itoshiki with a jab. Itoshiki takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Itoshiki stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schwanz. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schwanz lands with a thumping leg kick.
Itoshiki thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Itoshiki throws a leg kick and Schwanz counters with a nice body shot. A low kick from Itoshiki misses and Schwanz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Schwanz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Schwanz thuds his shin into the meat of Itoshiki's side. Itoshiki is breathing heavily. Schwanz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Itoshiki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Schwanz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Itoshiki. Itoshiki circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Schwanz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Itoshiki takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Schwanz, right into the meat.
Itoshiki sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A solid leg kick lands there for Schwanz.
Nozomu Itoshiki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Schwanz, as that shot connected.
Itoshiki misses with a leg kick and Schwanz counters with a good low kick that Itoshiki was not able to check. Schwanz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Schwanz tries to bum rush Itoshiki with a series of wild strikes but Itoshiki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Schwanz scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Schwanz.
Schwanz slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Nozomu Itoshiki has been cut. Itoshiki is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schwanz fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Schwanz moves into range and connects with a jab. A nice leg kick lands there from Schwanz. Schwanz tries a head kick but it misses.

Itoshiki is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwanz scores with a jab. Whack! Schwanz lands a heavy head kick that drops Itoshiki. The ref tackles Schwanz to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Itoshiki was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Hans Schwanz! Hans Schwanz retains his light heavyweight title!
