Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Seaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Silva! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Seaman! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva scores a takedown into full mount! Silva unloads with some shots from mount but Seaman bucks and avoids them well.
Silva has hold of Seaman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Seaman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Silva throwing strikes but Seaman bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Seaman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silva wants to pass the guard but Seaman is keeping the position. Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Seaman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Seaman defends it easily. Silva wants to sweep but no luck.

Seaman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Seaman has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Seaman manages to avoid the submission attempt. Silva is breathing heavily. Seaman is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Seaman, who protects the arm well. Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Seaman has escaped the position, nice work there. Seaman can't do much from the bottom here. An elbow from Silva crashes against the mat.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Seaman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Silva scores with a takedown into Seaman's guard. Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva feints and as Seaman raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. He has the arm isolated but Seaman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Seaman keeps control of the position for the meantime. Silva is looking for a kimura but Seaman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage. Seaman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Seaman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Seaman defends it well. Seaman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Silva.
