The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balingit throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Batista.
Balingit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like David Michael Batista has been cut.
Batista takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Batista gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Balingit.
EJ Balingit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Balingit just misses with a punch to the body.
A combination from Batista does no damage.
Batista has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Balingit finds it's way round the side to connect with Batista's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Balingit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Batista.
Batista throws a front kick aimed at Balingit's knee but Balingit avoids it well.
Balingit scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Batista doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Batista lands a really nice looking cross but Balingit seems unphased.

That has opened up David Michael Batista's cut even more.
Balingit closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Batista! Balingit dives in looking to finish! Batista is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
