Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodef Canmelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canmelianenko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Emperor - The Loss And Curse Of Reverence. Rodef Canmelianenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Simon Duke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodef Canmelianenko! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canmelianenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Canmelianenko blocks a jab. Canmelianenko takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Rodef Canmelianenko has been cut. Canmelianenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Canmelianenko stuns Duke with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Duke fails with an attempt to clinch.
Canmelianenko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Duke manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Canmelianenko tries to stand but Duke is controlling from the bottom. Canmelianenko throws and elbow that misses. Duke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Canmelianenko's guard. Nice move by Duke! Duke wanted to stand there but Canmelianenko had control of the position. Duke trying to control the position from guard on top but Canmelianenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canmelianenko is looking for a triangle but Duke pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Canmelianenko is on top in guard.
Canmelianenko scoring with some ground and pound. Canmelianenko throwing strikes from guard but Duke blocks nicely. Canmelianenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Duke holds on and takes a little breather. Duke working a defensive guard here.
Canmelianenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canmelianenko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Canmelianenko is trying to control the action in half guard but Duke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Canmelianenko sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Duke defending well though. Canmelianenko frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Duke blocking the ground and pound. Duke is bucking up trying to escape but Canmelianenko cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
It looks like Simon Duke has been cut. Canmelianenko looking to ground and pound but Duke is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Canmelianenko punching from mount but Duke doing a good job of avoiding damage. Canmelianenko fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Canmelianenko sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Canmelianenko thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Canmelianenko controlling from mount. Duke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Simon Duke's cut is getting worse. Canmelianenko pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Simon Duke's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Duke tries to hold on but Canmelianenko pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Canmelianenko breaks from Duke's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Simon Duke's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
