Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mo Riggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mo Riggins has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Eric Lawler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Lawler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mo Riggins! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riggins misses with a hook. Lawler ducked under it nicely. Riggins throws a hook but Lawler avoids it easily. Riggins tries to work over Lawler's front leg with a kick but Lawler checks it. Riggins tries to score with a low kick but Lawler moves his leg out of the way. Lawler lands a right hook to the body.
Nice jab there from Lawler. A head kick misses from Lawler. Lawler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Riggins on the side of the head. Lawler darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Riggins misses with a straight right. Mo Riggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riggins misses the body punch and Lawler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Riggins throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lawler counters with a nice uppercut. Lawler scores with a one two! Riggins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Mo Riggins has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lawler closes the distance and lands a one-two. Good exchange - Lawler coming out on top. Lawler lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Riggins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lawler scores with a one two! Riggins had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Riggins throws a sloppy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Riggins looks gassed! Riggins throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lawler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Riggins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lawler clinches up against the cage. Lawler presses Riggins against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lawler scores with a hook to the body. Come on Lawler - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Riggins has had enough of the clinch but Lawler keeps him there for the moment. Lawler stalling in the clinch.
Riggins tries to circle away but Lawler has him pinned against the cage. Lawler lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Riggins. Lawler scores with a shot to the side of Riggins's head. Nice body punch from Lawler. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lawler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lawler thuds a left hand into Riggins's body. Lawler's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Lawler duly obliges. Lawler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Lawler works Riggins's body with a nice hook. Lawler lands a head shot. Lawler connects with a good right hand that stumbles Riggins. Riggins circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawler feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riggins's calf. Riggins walks into a left hand. A left and a right from Lawler both land. Nice combination. Lawler scores with a body shot.
Riggins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lawler drives through and clinches with Riggins against the cage.
Riggins tries to circle away but Lawler has him pinned against the cage. Lawler lands a left hand that snaps the head of Riggins backwards. Lawler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Riggins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lawler is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Riggins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lawler sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lawler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Riggins is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lawler. Lawler connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Riggins's hands. Lawler comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Riggins swings and misses with a shot to the body and Lawler counters with a left and a right that stings Riggins. Lawler lands a hook that stumbles Riggins back into the cage. Lawler follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Riggins to the canvas! Lawler pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Riggins has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Eric Lawler!
