With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carsten Brian Kassler!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels tries to clinch but Kassler moves out of range.
Kassler fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Daniels is out of range.

Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kassler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kassler is looking to work some ground and pound but Daniels has wrist control.

Daniels is really struggling to control Kassler but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Kassler counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kassler.

Daniels has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kassler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Daniels.

Carsten Brian Kassler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Daniels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kassler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kassler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Despite being in the dominant position, Carsten Brian Kassler just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Daniels has his feet on Kassler's thighs here. He's pushed Kassler off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kassler screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
