PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isaiah Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gok Wan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gok Wan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wan slips under a jab.
Fowler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wan.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wan is defended easily by Fowler.
Wan defending well as Fowler loads up on a big left hand.
Fowler slaps away a takedown attempt from Wan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fowler.

Fowler sends Wan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Fowler is motioning to the referee to let Wan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Gok Wan has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fowler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wan is trying to defend but Fowler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fowler winds up and cracks Wan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Wan is rocked!

Fowler has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wan defend it? Fowler steps over the head and cranks it - Wan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fowler!
