Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Robida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sam stronghand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
stronghand wants to clinch up but Robida keeps it at a distance.
stronghand tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robida paws at him with a jab and circles away.
stronghand shoots in for a double leg but Robida sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Robida has closed the distance and engaged stronghand in a clinch.
Robida is trying to drag stronghand to the mat but stronghand just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Robida jumps guard but stronghand stands there with Robida around his waist. Robida gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Robida is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and stronghand defends well.

Robida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around stronghand's waist but stronghand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robida off to one side.

Robida jumps guard but stronghand stands there with Robida around his waist. Robida gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's time! Robida's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Robida working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. stronghand doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. stronghand manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Robida tries for a takedown but stronghand sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Robida counters by clinching up.
stronghand on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Robida pulls guard effortlessly.
Robida wants to get back to his feet but stronghand is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Robida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
