The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wray jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wray lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wray throws out a powerful jab. Griffin closes the distance and clinches. Wray has had enough of the clinch but Griffin keeps him there for the moment. Wray avoiding damage as Griffin throws knees to the body.
Wray tries to score a body lock takedown but Griffin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A frustrated look appears on Wray's face as he tries to break the clinch. Griffin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wray.
Wray looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Griffin using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Griffin lands a good knee to the midsection. Wray won't want to take too many of those. Griffin lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Griffin manages to end up in side control. Wray seems to have got his legs back now. Griffin lands a nice forearm strike. Griffin is looking to take a break and control but Wray is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wray is looking to reverse the position. Griffin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wray keeps working. Griffin lands a nice forearm strike. Wray takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Wray on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Griffin tries to advance to mount but can't. Wray is looking for a sweep. Griffin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wray some visible discomfort.

Wray is looking to regain half guard here but Griffin keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin advances to mount. Wray is desperately trying to improve his position but Griffin has a good base and remains in mount. Griffin wants to control the pace but Wray is squirming around nicely. Griffin breaks from Wray's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Griffin landing punches. Wray is desperately trying to improve his position but Griffin has a good base and remains in mount. Griffin punishing his opponent with strikes. Wray regains half guard. Griffin moves into full mount! Wray won't be happy about that! Griffin is landing with some decent strikes but Wray is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Griffin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wray hang on? Wray is trying to escape the mount.
Griffin working away from the top, dropping strikes. Griffin looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Wray covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
