Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge VonQulik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge VonQulik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Welch! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! VonQulik looks to throw the jab but Welch is out of range. Welch misses with a double jab.
VonQulik fails with a takedown attempt. VonQulik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Welch avoids it really well and circles away. VonQulik looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Welch is fending him off so far but VonQulik persists. Nope, Welch circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge VonQulik. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Welch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
VonQulik slips a jab and a cross from Welch.
That's one minute gone in the round. VonQulik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Welch paws at him with a jab and circles away. VonQulik looks for a takedown but Welch sprawls well. VonQulik shoots in for a takedown but Welch shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Welch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but VonQulik manages to avoid it. Jeremy Welch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. VonQulik closes this distance looking for a takedown but Welch circles away. Welch has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Welch there as he acknowledges the shot. VonQulik shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Welch as he jumps to the side. VonQulik misses with a shot to the body and VonQulik takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Jorge VonQulik has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Welch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Welch misses with a hook to the body
enabling VonQulik to counter with a crisp jab. VonQulik drives through with a takedown into guard. VonQulik throwing strikes from guard but Welch blocks nicely. VonQulik advances to half guard. VonQulik is looking for a kimura but Welch is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for VonQulik to get the leverage. Welch looks like he's trying to stand up.
VonQulik is keen to just control but Welch is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jeremy Welch will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jorge VonQulik's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
VonQulik looks to clinch and Welch counters with a left to the body. Welch thows a left - swing and a miss! Jorge VonQulik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. VonQulik misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Welch.
Welch scores with a one two! VonQulik had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Welch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. VonQulik with a poor takedown and Welch counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. VonQulik is lucky that one didn't land flush. Welch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but VonQulik moves out of range and avoids them all easily. VonQulik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Welch counters with a big head kick but VonQulik shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Welch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Welch plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! VonQulik moves out of range of the strikes. VonQulik with a lazy takedown attempt and Welch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge VonQulik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Welch falls off balance throwing a combination
and VonQulik decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Welch's guard. VonQulik drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says VonQulik as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Welch screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with VonQulik! Nice submission victory there!
